I choode this Baby Bjorn Active because it’s so good for my back and shoulders especially as my baby gets heavier. Really easy to put on, and get the baby in it without help. The lumbar support on it makes it comfortable to wear. It is supportive enough that I often use it when I go for a walk instead of the stroller and it doesn’t bother my back and gives me a bit more of a workout since I am carrying my baby instead of pushing him. It is obviously comfortable for my son too. He loves to face forward and look around when we go for walks and shopping.

This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to write a review because I love a product SO much… and I want other parents to gain as much from it as I have.

I own 5 different carriers, from the trendy Maya Wrap to one of the most expensive Kelty carriers BUT by far this is the MOST comfortable carrier ever. We (well, the HUSBAND) accidentally left our stroller behind for a 2-week trip to Europe and this was the only thing we had to carry our 3-month old in (and still run after the 19-month old, and drag luggage). It was fantastic. The only time, I find, that I get back ache is IF I don’t tighten the lumbar support tightly. Everything needs to be on the correct setting for my body size for it to work optimally. The secret, like carrying a backpack for hiking a mountain, is to tighten the lumbar so that your hips take the pressure NOT your shoulders. I’ve nursed in this carrier in a line at Disney World (discreetly, of course) and I never get hot in it like with my other carriers. I’m now using this carrier for my 3rd baby and still LOVING it.

Wow. I’ve noticed some people that have complained this item gave no support. I have boy/girl twins who are over 10 months and over 21 lbs each. I have two of these carriers and they are wonderful. BUT only if you have them in the correct position. They have to be adjusted down low in order to get the back support, but once they are in the correct position, they are great. My husband & I carried our twins around Disneyworld in April for hours and had no problems sitting or standing, and definately no shoulder pain! They were a great alternative to the stroller and the twins loved them too! Just over July 4th we carried them around the campground in them, and they were comfortable. Hope this helps anyone looking for a great carrier!
